Always You
You are broken and smashed.
Your scars, you attempt to hide.
Our hearts broke together,
I cried when you cried.
The distance is painful,
my weakness to it, shameful.
All odds are played against us,
but we will never stay fenced in.
You are full yet in pieces,
cracked and mangled, your reason.
Yet the water that you hold,
does not escape its fine mold.
Every tear you cried, my spirit diminished.
Our bond never broken, never finished.
When you always smile, I envision your tears.
Loud, lonely nights, emotions in smears.
Large crowded graveyards,
the tombstones, our name(s).
A shocking sense of panic,
then overall dismay.
